FRAX – Frequency Response Analyzers

...are you worried about your transformer...?

JUST FRAX IT!

Power transformers are some of the most vital components in today’s ransmission and distribution infrastructure. Transformer failures cost enormous amounts of money in prolonged outages and unscheduled maintenance. It is important to avoid these failures and make testing and diagnostics reliable and efficient.

The FRAX Sweep Frequency Response Analyzer (SFRA) detects potential mechanical and electrical problems that other methods are unable to detect. Knowing the internal health of your transformer allows you to operate at maximum load without compromising reliability. FRAX detects problems such as:

* Winding deformations and displacements
* Shorted turns and open windings
* Loosened clamping structures
* Broken clamping structures
* Core connection problems
* Partial winding collapse
* Faulty core grounds
* Core movements
* Hoop buckling

FRAX-101, the smallest and most
accurate SFRA unit on the market,
offers outstanding dynamic range
and flexibility. This combined with
dimensions, weight and accessories
equalled by no other brand, makes
it the ultimate choice of the professionals.
FRAX-101 has Bluetooth communication
and can be equipped with built-in battery
and active probes as optional accessories.
For more information, download the FRAX-101 brochure. For more information regarding active probes, download the Active Probes brochure.

FRAX-99 is an economy version of FRAX-101. The same size and with a dynamic range and accuracy still meeting or exceeding more expensive competitors. For more information, download the FRAX-99 brochure in pdf-format.
